Trying to transform

I'm trying to for once in my life get a beach body haha. I'm from Georgia and it's something I've never had. I'm 5'10, and just hit 229lbs! At the beginning of the year I was 254. However, I've only been working out and doing cardio the past month and have lost around 7 or 8lbs since. I have a friend who is a bodybuilder and competes in comps and he's given a little advice such as dieting, mainly fats, cals, sugar and salt and carbs, but mainly fats and sugar he said and so far it's been good. Anyways, this app wants me to take in 1500 cals a day, after spending 2hrs at the gym and everything, is that enough?

That is certainly not enough I would suggest adjusting the settings on your fitness goal. I would take in about 2,500 calories if I were you because your BMR or basic metabolic rate will be burning around 1,800 calories alone. Diet is top priority so get that in check next. I would recommend reading this article. Good luck! Feel free to add me!
