NYC bakeries?

Planning again to go to NYC soon... but this time alone! Which means I can walk about everywhere without having to worry about my kids.

I would REALLY love to try a Cronut but I'd really love to have some of my old French favorites that I haven't had in years.... Any recommendation? I love Donut Plant but I've already tried it, so I'll probably look for something else this time.
