My family and I like to eat Jasmine rice! My kids love it and I could eat a whole bowl full!! But I thought I'd try some quinoa. Is one better then the other? Do the calories differ much? How do I cook it? I use a rice cooker for my jasmine and it's so easy. Any recipe ideas?? Thanks for your help

It cooks the same as rice. 1 cup of quinoa to 2 cups of water.
Quinoa has protein in it. I actually prefer the way that it tastes.
You can use it in the same sorts of meals that you use rice in.0 -
better is relative...they're about the same calorie wise...quinoa has a bit more protein and fiber but there's nothing wrong with rice either...I would prefer rice for example when carb loading for a race. I eat both0

Nutritionally they are almost the same.
I do not bother with Quinoa, preferring to occasionally experiment with various types of rice: wild rice, black rice, . .
Jasmine is delicious0
