I been doing low carb for awhile and I just know it makes me feel miserable, especially when I workout and it ruins my sleep schedule. I'm use to eating lots of carbs but low calorie (1200) for weight loss, I was wondering has anyone lost weight on a high carb but low calorie diet? I need to lose 10 pounds to get back to my old weight before school starts back and I really don't want to cut carbs again. I been eating under 100 grams a day and I just know I feel so miserable. I'm very active (workout 2-3 hours daily) and I just want to lose these last 10 pounds.

Working out 2-3 hrs daily on 1200 calories is not healthy. You don't NEED to lose 10 lbs in a month, especially not at the cost of your health. If you only have 10 lbs to lose aim to lose .5 lb a week and add back your exercise calories (and probably cut back on the amount). If low carb doesn't make you feel good, then add more carbs.

For most people, the only reason to go low carb is if that helps you achieve your calorie deficit. Doesn't sound like you think it's helping you. Just the calorie deficit is all that most people need, to lose weight.

Oh, and: @dmt4641 is right: 10 pounds in month is a lot, to lose, unless you're quite overweight - risky, not healthy.

I just want to be back at 110 again because it's my comfortable weight. I know I gained weight because I keep having my cheat days but have cut back. I'm use to low calorie but eating whatever I want which is normally healthy foods but occasionally have something uhealthy but in my daily calories. I'm use to eating lots of carbs but low fat.

There is no need to make yourself miserable on low carb.

In terms of weight loss calories are the only things that matter, it's a numbers game.

In terms of nutrition and health the macro and micro nutrients matter.

    people often confuse the two.

if you're not happy on low carb stop eating a low carb diet.
