How and when to add strenght training?

Hi everyone

I just want to know if I should add some strenght training to my exercise plan and what I should add. At the moment I am doing C25K am on week 5 so running for 5 minute bursts with walking in between, I also do zumba. The running I do 3 nights a week, the zumba I do two. Should I add some strenght training, will it help with the running, what strength training should I do and how often should I do it? Sorry lots of questions :bigsmile:

    I would swap out one of your two cardio routines for a strength routine...and I would do it yesterday.

    Full body strength training 2-3 days/week: Stronglifts, Starting Strength.

    Start today! Do strength training in between C25k days.

    Strength training signals your body that your muscles are need. In this way, your body will be less likely to steal from you muscles when in a calorie deficit. Also make sure you are getting minimum protein every day.
