I have a shooting pain in my left calf. It just comes randomly, short quick stab. Then I feel like I lost control of my leg for a second, so I sink... then It's gone. But it's been happening off and on for past 24 hours. When I walk... run or just sitting here.

Anyone every experience this??

Stretch your hips, your hams, quads, calf and your achilies. I've had it happen and it all started in my hips and glutes. Also, a foam roller is a miracle worker. I've been running for 25 years and now I sit all day at work, I never realized that the majority of my problems started in my hips and glutes from lack of movement and strengthening.

I stretch a good 10 minutes before, but I am bad about after.

It's highly annoying though, because I'm just sitting here in my office chair and the shoot of pain comes out of nowhere, about every 5 minutes and makes me jump in my seat.

I had to stretch during my runs to stop it. But good compression socks, good shoes and strength training have helped me tremendously.
