Due to being a student I have to get as much variety and nutrition from food for as little as possible due to my low budget. The list equates to about £20 a week or less (as some things are switched out or changed), though the list covers 2 weeks for about £40 though not all the items will be bought every 2 weeks. The list covers lunches and dinners, not breakfast or snacks (apart from the yogurt and fruit) as I don't eat breakfast and I don't like to pre-plan snacks prior to shopping, I like to have a little more freedom with snacks. I tend to spend an extra £5 a week on whatever snacks catch my fancy that week, though try to avoid junk food...apart from ice cream if it fits in my calorie amounts. I *kitten* love ice cream. I will never give it up (peanut butter, coffee or rum and raisin).

    Vegetables:
    • Mushrooms
    • Mixed salad
    • Bell peppers
    • Sweet potatoes
    • New potatoes/ baby potatoes
    • Asparagus
    • Celery
    • Chopped tomatoes
    • Garlic
    • Onions
    • Sweetcorn
    • carrots
    • Cucumber

    fruit:
    • Lemons
    • Frozen pinapple
    • Frozen berries

    Meat:
    • chicken -depends on the week, and depending on dish it is being used on it may be switched with chicken style quorn
    • Lamb (steaks)
    • Tuna canned

    Cupboard staples:
    • Rice
    • Salt/ pepper
    • Chilli seasoning
    • kidney beans
    • Chick peas
    • Pearl barley
    • olive oil

    Other:
    • Greek Yogurt
    • Cordial

    Herbs (growing in a pot)
    • Basil
    • Rosemary
    • Thyme
    • Parsley
    • Chives

For my kids, they eat milk, cereal, pb&j, bread, eggs, yogurt, cheese.

My list is much shorter than yours though:
    Natural pb
    Protein powder
    Unsweetened Almond milk
    Coffee
    Splenda
    Diet coke
    Zucchini
    Cucumber
    Lettuce
    Tomatoes
    Avocadoes
    Cottage cheese
    Greek yogurt
    Chicken breast
    Canned tuna
    Salsa
    Eggs

That's not everything I eat, but it's what's on the menu 75% of the time. Boring, but a little balsamic, pesto, etc, and there's plenty of variety.

Love it mixed with powdered peanut butter and soy sauce... FYI

WHAT!? Hahaha this sounds so weird.. No offense. Just wondering what it tastes like. I enjoy all of these ingredients separately. Now I'm curious.
