Using a timer?

I'm not drinking enough water, at all (probably one or two glasses a day) I've tried a chart for a while but soon gave up, and never drank more than 5 glasses. I'm thinking a timer might work? As in drink every hour? Has anyone else tried that, or got any other ideas?

Whatever works! It doesn't have to just be water if you struggle with it. Most liquids count!

I have gotten into a routine of two glasses first thing in the morning, one before or after each meal, and one before I brush teeth morning and night. That's the recommended eight. (When it's hot, I need and drink a lot more.)

I dont think water is essential for weight loss. It may help you stay fuller, if you have problems with that.

follow your thirst. you don't need to drink every hour, and you can absorb plenty of liquid from food. The body is pretty good at telling you when you need to drink more.

Do not just have to drink water. Your hydration can be the tea, coffee, diet soda, or what ever your beverages of choice is to drink each day. This should be a natural thing you do each day to hydrate naturally and normally. There is no force feeding your body all this water. Also the foods you eat contain water as well. It all counts.

Follow your body's signals, drink stuff when you feel like drinking like with meals, after/before exercise, when taking mid morning or afternoon breaks, etc..

Drink when you are thirsty. Forcing yourself to drink at timed intervals will cause undue pressure.

16 ounce glass 30 before every meal. That makes 6 cups. Coffee makes 7.

I keep a 32 oz water bottle at my desk at work and just chug on it as needed. I easily go through 2 just at work. Carry water around with you and it will become habit to drink more of it.
