2nd week of diet worries

Hey guys
Just been using MFP for two weeks and loving it! Love the feeling of control and that I know exactly what I'm eating!
So I lost 5lbs in my first week and only 1lb this week. Just wondering if that is normal?
I broke my leg 3 months ago so haven't been very active and now I've started swimming 3 times a week and sit ups/walking/gyming the other nights. I've cut down to 1400 calories which means I've changed the way I'm eating entirely. I'm always full by munching away on fruit and low fat snacks, cucumber and tomato a fav.
Just hoped u guys could reassure me that I will lose more weight over the next few weeks and I'm not slowing down the losses already! Is it a science thing?!

I would say its perfectly normal. I know every time I have lost weight, it seems to go fast for the first week and then after that it slows down to a more normal pace. I think maybe a lot of the first weeks weight is water weight. I could be wrong though, I'm kind of new to the dieting thing0

Very normal by the sound of it. You will lose plenty at the start, but expect in the longer run to be about 1 lb per week, and even then you may hit the odd plateau. if you do, just stick with it, and you'll come through it just fine. Not sure how much you're looking to lose but let MFP calculate it for you. Unless you're in a real rush I'd suggest setting it to lose 1 lb per week. Good luck with your journey!0
