Hello everyone, I have been traveling in Europe for the summer and have gained 15 pounds. I need to lose this ASAP and not eat bread or sweets starting tomorrow. Any recommends or comments??

    • Set a moderate deficit using MFP
    • Weigh and record all your food
    • Take your time - those that take it slow and steady seem to have more success than those that go hell for leather.
    • do not exclue food groups or food that you love - learn to eat them in moderation and within your calorific goal.
    • Don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon - just get back on ASAP.

Note: if you've significantly upped your carb intake, had a lot of sun, and drunk alcohol and travelled home via an airline you can expect that some of this extra weight is retained fluids. All of the previous activities can contribute to water retention and you should shift that water weight by drinking plenty of water.

@StealthHealth nailed it. I'd like to add that it took all summer to gain 15, so don't expect it all to come off in a couple weeks. Slow and steady wins the race.

And definitely don't eliminate a certain food group

Cut out all refined carbs and sugars. Eat mostly vegetables, some fruit and whole grains. Make sure you are eating balanced meals and are in a moderate calorie deficit. It will still take you about 7 weeks to lose the weight at 2 lbs a week. It will talk much longer if you are close to goal weight, as you should stay around 1 lbs a week. .5 lbs a week is better that close.
