    They actually hold up quite well as that is what they're designed for. They're bumper plates on a rubber floor. They're made for Olympic lifting for which you have to drop the weights or you'd rip your shoulders to shreds. Olympic lifting is about the most awesome lifting you can do from an overall functionality perspective...I love it.
