RESPECT!!!

Being in the grips of my depressed, lazy self and morbid obesity until 3 months ago...I have to admit that I thought healthy people had it easy. How come they could look so good with so little effort? They were going home and having three pieces of pizza and watching their favourite tv shows and looking so great. Why not me? As it turns out, MOST (99%) of the healthy population, is working their collective BUTTS off to look how they look. I have a newfound respect for the work that healthy people are putting in to look the way they look, and feel the way they feel.

I just started working out with a personal trainer on Monday, and I've never been this sore in my life. I've been eating clean and healthy for 3 months and have lost 42 lbs as of this morning. I've also NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. The endorphins are a much better rush than I ever thought possible.

I apologize to all of you for my incorrect way of thinking - and wanted to let you know, I admire and respect each and every one of you.

Thanks to all of you for being committed inspirations to those of us that are just starting this journey. And I'm talking to EVERYONE on MFP. What a life changing fantastic journey this has turned out to be. :flowerforyou:

Want to let everyone know that although that is a significant amount of weight to lose in 3 months...it's not safe for everyone. I'm under the care of a Physician, RN, Nutritionist, Exercise Therapist and even a Psychologist (Lapband surgery includes psychology whether you want it or not) and I had Lapband Surgery on May 15th. I also hired a personal trainer, bought a treadmill and kettle bells, had body assessment analysis done (which changed my goal weight to 179 (from 159) and gave me realistic expectations, and have refused filling the lapband so that I can eat at least 1500 to 1700 calories a day and a minimum of 125g of protein a day as per the Nutritionist, and my Personal Trainer. I'm lifting weights three times a week now, and doing Interval Aerobics four times a week. This is HARD - but worth it!
