Not sure if I'm exactly what you are looking for, but as a teenager in the 90's I was 115lbs at 5'9". I remember feeling a bit too skinny and awkward at the time.
I just assumed I was always one of those people who could eat whatever they wanted, so I never paid any attention to nutrition, thinking that would help. (lol)
Fast forward 15 years and because of my lack of understanding of nutrition and reliance on fast food, I weighed over 200 lbs. I was in serious denial and avoided mirrors wherever I could. When I finally went to the doctor and he weighed me at 215, I knew I had to make a change.
I joined Weight Watchers and started tracking my intake. I changed my diet from french fries and burgers to lean protein and fresh fruits and vegetables. I cut out sugar soda and fruit juices. The weight couldn't come off of me fast enough - I was losing 2 to 3 lbs a week on average, even after I got to the bottom of my BMI range.
I think I'm a naturally slender person by default when eating healthy, so my results might not be typical. I also lift heavy weights 4x a times a week with some cardio and HIIT training. I have put on a lot of muscle.
I now weigh 125, which is 10 lbs more than when I was a skinny awkward teenager. Looking back, I'm probably about the same size as I was then, but because I have more muscle I don't have that "too skinny" feeling that I had before.
Hope this helps.0 -
Indeed not exactly what I'm searching, but it sure does help
I'm actually searching for stories of people having either lost too much weight or naturally slender who have gained muscle and mass to achieve a healthy weight~0 -
I'm working on it:) I'm 107lbs at 5'6''. I've stopped running so much and started lifting, and I already feel a lot better! My mom, who's always teased me for my lil stick arms, actually commented on the improvement in my arms and shoulders. That's enough proof for me that it's working! Feel free to add me, we can help eachother out.0

Something I'm currently struggling with. Lost too much weight and now I have the lose weight mentality stuck in my head. Trying to gain some muscle and a few more pounds back on but it's just engrained in my brain to keep losing.0
