Tear in my hip...help

Hello Everyone-
So, I have hit a pitfall on my working out. I am a very active 32 year old (running, rollerblading, biking, walking, swim, lifting weights etc). I have been having some hip pain so I went to the doctor this morning and got an x-ray. It seems I may have a tear in my hip. I am going to get an MRI to see if it is small or large. If it is small then I will get PT and a steroid shot in the tear. If it is large then I will need surgery and 3 months of no workout (which in my mind is not possible). I guess I am just trying to see if anyone else has had a setback like this and how they dealt with it. Any advice? Or support would be great!
