Fitness Tracker for Swimmers?

Any swimmers out there with some recommendations for a good HRM/Calorie tracker that is completely waterproof? I lowered the amount of calories MFP says I burn doing an hour of water aerobics every night because I just don't buy that it is almost 700, even with as high as my weight is (and it is very high), but i am still just guessing and feel like I still might be guessing high. I have tried to counter balance by just not eating any of my burned calories. It would be nice to know for sure. Also, I am having a coach work with me the next few weekends on my technique so I can swim laps and deep water run efficiently, so i am going to be in the water a lot and I keep reading that some of the "waterproof" devices degrade quickly. I don't have a lot of money so I don't want to invest in something that degrades every few months. Suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks!!!
