Okay so I used to binge a LOT before but ever since I started using MFP, I really haven't binged and I was really happy about it....until today. I went overboard today and I didn't even exercise! I'm pretty sure I'm way over my nutrients and will gain a lot of water weight.
Is there any way I could stop this from happening in future? How long do you think this water weight is going to take to come off?
Thank you x

Keeping my conscious mind on what I'm doing rather than eating mindlessly. Staying up to the minute with logging or prelogging helps with this, as does just having a calorie budget. I know I can't fit a pint of Ben & Jerry's in there, lol. It's like shopping with cash rather than a credit card.
Also:
1. More protein in relationship to carbs stops the physical urge to overeat: http://www.nutrition.org.uk/healthyliving/fuller/understanding-satiety-feeling-full-after-a-meal.html
2. Yoga stops the emotional urge to overeat: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-science-willpower/201007/how-yoga-can-help-end-binge-eating
3. Ramping up activity level in general does something positive as well3 -
Have you been over restricting, too steep a calorie deficit? Water weight usually resides itself within a few days.0
