Can anyone suggest a good spin bike to buy for the home? Reasonably priced?

Thinking outside of the box...Get a road bike and mount it on an indoor trainer. This way when you want to go out side for a ride (maybe during vacation time?) you have it. 1 bike-2 functions.

I agree with the above. I cycle and usually ride outdoors but I mount it on my trainer when the weather is not favorable and there are some good trainer DVDs out there.

I have this set up too! I like it be use unlike most static bikes it actually fits me. I don't get achy shoulders and elbows like I have done before.

Yeah I have an indoor trainer for my bike as well. You can pick up a fairly cheap trainer second hand. Wind, magnetic or fluid are the three basic types, fluid is the quietest, which is what I have, and it's done me pretty well. This setup might be cheaper as well, and gives you the option to ride the bike outside. You could also check out Zwift, it's a subscription-based thing that picks up info from a speed sensor on your wheel and lets you ride around a virtual world with people from all over the world. They have structured workouts you can do as well, and people hold races and everything. Has really helped make indoor cycling more enjoyable for lots of people.
