So, this month i've been hella lazy and stopped taking my antidepressants bc they won't prescribe and it made me more lazy but a week and a half ago i started taking them again. And i realized that i gained almost 25 lbs in a month (i already made a post about that) i did eat bad stuff throughout this month but not to the point where i gain 25 lbs!! And idk if its water retention it doesnt feel like it. i am SO dissapointed in myself ive been trying to lose weight for over 7 years since im 11 because my self esteem doesnt exist anymore after getting bullied for being fat when i wasnt even that fat! I lost 30 lbs and gained 20 something back and i dont know what to do anymore because i am very impatient and worked really hard to lose those 30 lbs even if i had 30 more left :( help me im so sad

SSRIs can mess with your weight. Serotonin gets stored in the gut and when you take SSRIs it can throw you out of whack and mess with your appetite. (I gained 45 pounds from SSRIs)
Talk to your doctor before you stop taking the meds, but two things that might help are
1.exercise, it's great for helping depression, especially if you can get outside, even just a 10 minute walk (won't burn many calories, but it can be a big mental boost)
    2. Probiotic food like yoghurt, kimchi etc can help balance your gut (talk to your doctor/pharmacist) and avoid too much sugar and caffeine

    Hope you feel better.

Here's what worked for me- (if you already know this stuff then that's great but it could still help someone else who may be reading)

Calories in - calories out !!!!! Eat less then you burn and you'll lose weight. Eat more then you burn and you gain weight. Yes it's just that simple for the average person. Realize that weight loss comes down to calories.

Get yourself a food scale. Learn how to weigh all your solids and measuring cups for liquids. Learn how to log accurately here on mfp . This teaches portion control which is important for long term success .

Don't fall for fads and gimmicks. Don't listen to what the newest fitness magazines and books and all that ,90% is bad info . You don't have to go low carb, Paleo, vegan or whatever the newest craze is to lose weight and be healthy. Learn how to eat real food but within proper portions. Learn moderation. Moderation and portion control are so very important for long term success. Once you learn both, your good to go! You can eat properly in any situation! There's no need for diet pills, multi level marketing scam products and all that stuff. Weight loss products do not work. If they did, then everyone would just pop pills, drink shakes, wrap ourselves with the newest skinny wrap crap and we'd all be thin. But they don't work so don't waste your money.

Let go of any dieting myths and wives tales that you may have heard throughout the years. Carbs are not your enemy. Carbs do not cause people to gain weight. ( A calorie surplus does)
Eating at night does not cause people to gain weight. ( A calorie surplus does) so let go of all the myths that you may still be holding onto and realize that weight loss comes down to calories. Eat less then you burn and you'll lose weight

But the calories the app gave me seems like too much calories even if i do eat under, 1770 calories per day, i'm 18, 205 lbs and 5'11

You will lose weight steadily, not dramatically, but steadily at CI=1770. All you have to do is know how to copy and paste from https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods to get accurate numbers on the food log. There will be times when it seems that you're not losing weight at all, followed by times when you lose weight suddenly and rapidly. It's not linear. It does not go in a straight line. Just be sure to hit or miss on the green side CI=1770, and you will lose weight. At 5'11" and 205 you can drop 25 lb in under 4 months if you just take it one minute at a time.

    They're not too few

You're 205lbs ...it will also reflect how active you said you were (excludes exercise)

Hey. It sounds like you have a lot to worry about outside of your weight loss/ gain although I am guessing that putting on that weight isn't helping. It must be demotivating after you worked so hard before. The bullying sounds horrible and as much as people can say 'don't listen to them', of course it will bother you.

I suspect that the antidepressants might be contributing to weight fluctuations, but if your mental health is up and down as well then you might be eating more or less based on that, too.

To be honest, if I were you, I would talk to the doctor about all of this. People on here can give you advice on diet and fitness but when you have mental health in the mix too, most people aren't experts. Your doctor can give you advice on both and how they affect each other - which they most definitely do. Good luck :)

Don't listen to the women's magazines that say that "Women" only need 1200 calories.
Don't listen to the short women who gasp and say "Oh, I would GAIN on 1700 calories a day, how COULD you?"

Bigger bodies need more food. Not "fatter" bodies, "Bigger" bodies. You are taller than an average man. You simply need more food to support the basic functions of living.

When I was in ninth grade, I was 5'8 and 140 pounds. My best friend was 5'0" and 140 pounds. We took the same size in clothing. But I was a perfect weight for my height and she was significantly overweight.
(and yet, because of the strong tendency to assume "overweight" has the same definition for all women? Because I wore a size 13? I got a lot of crap about being "fat." I got so much crap about being "plus sized" because my actually-overweight friend and I had to shop in the same "fat stores" that I actually thought I *was* fat back then.

Tall women get held to the same standards for what a "good weight" and "normal size" are as average-to-short women, but you don't need to do it to yourself.

I'm 215 lbs/6'3" and eat 3900 calories a day and lose weight at that amount of calories when on a cut.
The advice about exercising to help with stress is excellent, it's not necessary to lose weight but it sure helps with internal thoughts for some.

I'm five inches shorter and 30 years older than you and lose weight eating more than 1770 calories per day. (This includes a moderate amount of exercise calories.)

That 1200 number you hear is for women who are much, much shorter or older than you.

Hi, exercising will definitely help your mind, mood and motivation. Having snacks ready and a food plan is helping me. I'm trying to reduce sugar by replacing with nuts and crunchy filling veg. You will get there!

When I first started MFP, I was 287 pounds, and to lose 1.5/week it had me eating 2800 cal/day. I'm now at 199 pounds and to keep losing 1.5/week, I'm down to 1770 cal/day. You'll get there, but you need patience. Hang in there, and know that everybody on here has had tough times losing weight, too :)
