Ok. Just starting over and wanting to add other users for support but how do I add people as friends

Click on the person, it will bring up page where you can send them a message, don't click send message but instead click on persons name again , it will then bring up that persons profile where you will find a blue icon with plus beside it, click that to send that person a friend request.
