Hello friends!
Tomorrow I'm going to be joining the gym! With my schedule, I'll be working until 5:30pm, and won't be able to get to the gym until 7 or 8pm. How should I eat my meals throughout the day? I have found so much about AM work outs, but doesn't seem to be much that is helpful with my timeline. Any tips and tricks will be over the moon appreciated!

When my schedule was like that, I cooked all my meals for the week on Sun. I would usually come home from the gym between 7-7:30, so it was easy to just heat my food up instead of having to cook something.

Maybe you can have a late lunch (around 2) and eat a snack on your way home. That way you won't feel so hungry while working out.

I'm not a morning person and I work out at night, usually after 7 o'clock myself.

As far as eating your meals, my suggestion to you is eat them just normally the way you currently do.

I eat breakfast about 6 a.m., lunch 11:30 and dinner 4:30. After I'm done with my workout and I get home I have a protein shake.
I'll also throw in some kind of snack during the day.

You'll have to experiment. I do meal prep sunday n make my lunches and dinner for 2 nights in advance and put in take away containers. Don't eat too much pre work out, incorporate carbs bout hour or so before hand. Depends on your calorie goal maybe split 4 meals plus snacks. Be prepared so less chance of slipping. Monitor n change it up til u feel ok

Wouldn't stress it too much if i were you - you are joining the gym and will be overwhelmed with all the stuff and people going on around you.
Eat normally, monitor your intake based on your goals and eventually as you start building knowledge, strength and endurance you will start getting a grip on what to eat and when.

This will be something you HAVE to workout on your own. I cannot even imagine some stranger on the internet telling me its quite ok to eat a meal one hour to two hours before my very first workout ever and that make me sick as a dog. You know yourself better than anyone here!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I'm still experiment and do better, but I've been consistently logging my calories, so I'm working as I go, and have been doing good! 7 pounds down since August 1st. Now I'm working on cardio goals.
