I am one of those people who become obsessed with a scale. August is my birthday month so awhile back I decided I was going to try harder than I have been to lose weight AND ditch my scale(until my dr appt so weigh the 1st then have husband hide scale until 23rd) well now I'm so close to Onderland for the first time in like 10 years pretty much(I can't remember exactly maybe like 8 really?) I'm sad and anxious to give the scale up tomorrow :(
I feel so dumb and logically I know I'm still going to hit it even though the scale is gone but I want to see it

I have also been a slave to the scale but I noticed over time (like a YEAR) that my weight would go up or down 5 pounds and my clothes would fit better than when I was weighing myself all the time. I would go buy some jeans or a birthday outfit you want to look fierce and take a picture in them before and after! Then you can really see the difference rather than what the scale tells you :)

I did the same. Now I weigh myself on the first of every month. You can do this!!!! You are totally worth it.
Ps it's not stupid at all!!!!!

Scale is only a TOOL to measure weight. It doesn't say what kind of weight one lost, gained, etc. and many times if it's fast loss or gain, it's water.
How do your clothes fit? Do your joints feel better? Are you getting complimented on how you look? Those are the measurements of success you should take notice of because the scale can lie. I even posted a thread on this.
