On the upper bar click "excercise" then click in the sub menu "exercise diary" then click "add exercise" then click "search" then type "walking" and click search again then select the speed you were walking (3 mile an hour is a reasonably quick walking speed, 4 mph is almost jogging, 2 mph is quite slow). Then fill in how much time you were walking and click "add exercise".

You will find it under cardio and pick the speed you walk and for how long.1

While 2 mph is quite slow to some, for me and a lot of us starting out 2 mph is about our limit. Other ways to walk that I've used is to go to Walmart and get a cart and push it around the store. My back doesn't hurt as bad if I'm holding on to the cart. Only trick to this is not filling up the cart!1

Oh yeah I wasn't trying to be disparaging of 2mph. If 2mph is your pace that is fine of course, just saying how MFP annotates the various speeds. 2mph is "slow" compared to average but if you walk slow thats fine, just log it as such.0
