Hi friends
I have been wanting to get back on track the last few weeks, but I am struggling to even make it through one day!
I was doing ok for about a month, then my husband was made redundant and we moved city. It threw off my routine and I undid all my good work. But we are settled again now, so I want to refocus. But I just can't seem to stay on track.
I have a LOT of weight I need to lose. I think I'm partially overwhelmed and discouraged / ashamed. But I think if I could just get through the first week, I would be on my way again. I'm so frustrated and annoyed at myself!
Would appreciate any suggestions or ideas for helping me break out of my funk. Help!

Baby steps.
Don't try to change everything at once. That's hard. Make it as easy as possible for yourself.
Track what you normally eat for a week or two. You can then go back through your food log and see where you can make simple changes such as eating smaller portions or substituting a food that you like with another food that you also like.
You don't need to get fancy to lose weight. All you need is to eat fewer calories than your body uses. That's a struggle sometimes, especially before you figure out a way of eating that works for you.
Also, look at a bad day as a learning experience. There's no need to be discouraged or ashamed. As long as you track your intake accurately, you'll be able to see where you can make different choices.1
