I use my son as weights..he jumps on my back and we squats together..He's only 35 lbs, but still

Yup. My little barbell. Kids just want to do whatever we're doing!

I don't think it is sad at all. #1, you are setting a good example for your daughter, #2, you are spending time with your daughter and she probably enjoys it and it helps to keep you motivated, & #3 she is getting to burn off some energy rather than bouncing off the walls.

i think its great for your kid but not ideal for you. you probably arent getting as good of a work out as you would alone or with and adult partner.

Nope. My 10-year-old is my gym buddy for cardio... sometimes it slows me down a bit but knowing that he's pushing himself makes it worth it.

Absolutely NOT. My 5 and 7 year olds work out with my sometimes.

My son's mothers day bio said:
    Mom's favorite food: fruit
    Mom's favorite activity: running
    Mom's favorite show: exercise TV.

Be proud that you are an inspirational and good healthy role model!!

No. Some of, if not *the* fondest memories I have of activities with my mother is working out with her as a girl. I think it's sad that she stopped it (along with a ton of other things) after she met/married her husband when I was 9/10.

What's sad is that the first few responses to this was yes.

    Dude.

    Whatever. :P

You can never start them too young on their path to a healthy lifestyle. Generally habits they learn the younger they are the more they stick throughout life.
