Hey, My name is Kev
I top in at just over 180kg. I'm a big fella, and always have been.
I'm getting heavier every year and its getting harder to do everyday things. I had to give up rugby as its too hard on my back and for the fact I barely fit in a jersey.

I eat terribly. I have a massive lunch, and massive dinner. Which is mostly takeaway or cheap and nasty meals.
In between that its not unlike me to eat several large packets of chips, entire packets of biscuits.
I don't drink water, I drink litres of soft drink everyday.
I'm trying to change my life around. I don't want to die of a heart attack at my age.

Ive started getting up early to eat breakfast. And have started eating small healthier meals all throughout the day.

And I've been drinking water for once. I'm trying for 2 litres everyday.
I thought id say hello and tell yous what I'm going through.
Also would love to hear from anyone who is going through the same trip or has succeeded in on.
Any helpful tips would be appreciated.

I used to have hard time going from soda to 'plain' water because honestly it didn't taste like anything. So I bought sparkling mineral water and some of those 0 kcal juice concentrates (that you usually dilute as 1 part juice + 7-9 parts water, depending on the product). Tastes like fruity soda, but no calories. Eventually I just ditched the juice and now I'm drinking (plain) sparkling water. Still not a big fan of still water ;)

Eating a proper breakfast indeed reduces craving for the rest of the day. I try to make breakfast my biggest meal of the day, because I need most energy during morning and day. Usually my breakfast is bacon, eggs, sausages, some yoghurt, maybe some avocado and berries, about 700-800 kcal. Lunch is usually salad with meat and fatty dressing, and dinner is just soup or something light. I try to generally restrict carbs but not doing keto, I get about 100 gr of carbs per day.
