New to MFP and limited mobility

I have been here for about a month now and have lost 15 pounds. I know that will slow down. I am starting to get the hang of tracking my food intake and will admit to this being difficult, but I am motivated. It is tough because I am home all day and have a bad back. I cannot stand for more than a couple of minutes at a time. I found a limited mobility workout on youtube, but wanted ideas on what else might help me. We do have some weights and kettle bells here at home and thought that was the way to go. I have a 140 pounds to my goal.

15 Pounds is great! Way to go!!
I am 15 months post-op a lumbar spinal fusion and have been dealing with limited mobility. Its much better than before surgery but I have to take it easy as I work to get stronger. That being said, I like doing simple core exercises that I learned in PT after surgery. Planks are a great core exercise and if you can get onto and up off the floor you can do them. Try googling 'core exercises'. I also plan to start using light weights for biceps and triceps. If you can get a gym membership to a gym with a pool water aerobics are great. I was surprised at how much of a workout it is!0 -
I went to a Pain Clinic and was able to learn some mobility exercises that are helping me. Core work is essential but I can't get on/off the floor so the modification I do is laying on the bed and I do small slow movements. Also breathing exercises. Sounds silly, but really focusing on breathing with my belly helps. The other thing that has been helping me a bit is really working on and stretching out my hip flexors. Not sure any of this will help you but hope it gives you some ideas.0
