so i really love her..absolutely wish i was her LOL. i find her so motivating and inspiring. last week i bought one of her books and it talks about mixing up your calorie count daily. like one day eating 1200 cals and one day eating 1400 cals and one day eating 1700 cals and so on. of course its according to the number of cals you should be eating. she said its to keep your metabolism from shutting down and to help prevent a plateau. i love this idea...do any of you do this? today im going to start trying it!

I do this - it seemed to help! Plus it gives you more flexibility with your menu planning so it's not so hard to stick to your plan. It screws up teh food journal numbers here, but who cares - YOU know what you're doing! I turned my thing off that posts it to the feed and just roll on.

I love Jillian too. I used to not be all that fond of her but then I read her book and found out she's a really cool and compassionate person.
  • I calorie cycle as well...it does give more flexability with daily menus. I know what is going on with my diary whether anyone else looks at it or not....lol. I still get in my fruits and veggies along with protein. I try to stay within the recommended sodium and get in my 8 cups of water.

Best of luck if you decide to try it!

I started doing this mid May and have seen much better results. I also ensure to eat a variety of things day to day. I had gotten into a rut of eating the same oatmeal and berries for breakfast and 2 cup salad with chicken breast for lunch . . . day after day. Since I have varied my food and calorie intake I have lost a minimum of 2.5 lbs per week, sometimes more depending on my activity.
  • i like the idea...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
i love jillian too...i just read an ariticle where she had a brownie for breakfast...it was 300 calories...sometimes you have to give in, just keep the calories where they need to be!
