Rib cramping or spasm?

Hey everyone. Im looking for some advice. Some months ago while doing some mountain climbers i got a sharp almodt cramp like spasm on the right side of my rib cage. Its immensely painful for the minute or so its there. It feels like the muscle has lifted and is protruding through my skin then as the pain eases it goes down. I can get this exercising, sitting down, even just generally moving around if i seem to stretch in a certain direction. Does this sound to anymore more like a cramp or have i done something more and need to get it looked at. Thr pain feel directly under my rib on the right front side of body. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have this exact same problem that started about 2 weeks ago. It usually bothers me if im running up hill. It hurts to breathe in deep or shallow and passes within a min or so. Doesn't bother me while running on flat surface. I have noticed that stretching certain ways bothers me too or sitting a certain way. I have been wondering if its scar tissue from when I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago, but thought weird for it to all of a sudden start hurting when ive been working out for the past 4 months. So I will be following to see if anybody has thoughts on this.

Cramping can be caused by an imbalance in electrolytes or tightness in the muscles. I found most of my cramping issues went away when I increased sodium, magnesium and potassium and stretch regularly (5 min before and 5 to 7 after).

I get this when I try to do abs after deadlifting. Kind of freaked me out the first time.

I get this sometimes when twisting or bending a certain way, feels like something has popped out and sudden sharp pain. I asked my Doctor if it was a hernia or something, but he said it wasn't as this would be at the front, not the side. He said it was more likely a muscle being pulled and nothing to worry about.

Saw my doctor for mine since its been going on for a couple weeks. She thinks mine is a mix of scar tissue from my gallbladder removal, hital hernia and/or cramping up.
