Camping. In the rain. I’m feeling indoorsy
earlier this year, I was asked: "Would you like to go camping !?!?"
my first thought was:
So, I've worked my tail off to have a nice home with air conditioning and a couple of fireplaces. We have plumbing, several toilets, refrigeration, wifi, big screen televisions.
If I'm hungry, I have ovens, cooktops, programmable coffee makers and microwaves. If I'm lazy, I order food online and they bring it to me where I can eat it while sitting on a very comfortable sofa..... and you ask me if I want to sleep on the ground, in the cold, under a canvas tarp; are you crazy ??
Instead, I just said: "Nah, I'm good."6 -

I have a couple of problems with this. 1) The sun was already up at this time for me, so it is more difficult to see stars, and 2) I am in the southern hemisphere, so would I still look south, or would I look north, or would I look up, or would I not have line of sight at all?2 -
