    let's be honest here who wouldn't want a clone of themselves laying around that they could use for spare parts as needed

    I think you'd have to know yourself really well before you decided if that was a good idea or not. Have you seen Altered Carbon on Netflix? Or, I suppose, read the books it was based on (which I have NOT done yet)?
