Has anyone ever had spinal decompression treatment?

If yes, is it worth the time and money?

Don't mean to be rude but not sure how a weight loss forum is an appropriate place for sciatica problems.
I've had the decompression for couple of months once a week. It was free of charge (I live in the UK) so I can't comment on the money. I don't think it made any difference to me.1 -
I spent a lot of money and time to have my spine decompressed, but it brought me from being literally unable to walk some days to being almost pain free. I considered it well worth the money.1

Sorry I didn't know where else to get opinions.1 -
It took several months until I could walk without the pinching pain in my back and legs. I did the treatment for a little over a year until I couldn't afford it anymore.1 -
i know a lot of people who do it. mostly machinists. they like it. it takes time but as you improve, i think it helps a lot. a friend of mine was suggested to get an inversion table. he gets a lot of use
i don't need it nearly as bad as some so i did aerial yoga. and have found it works well with my myalgia on days i have a hard time moving. but that's cause i'm weird

I just had my first treatment today and can't hardly feel the pull. He says they start out very gently. Mine is fine at chiropractor's office. Where was yours?
Also, I'm pretty lucky cause mine only cost $10 per office visit and with that it includes a 30 minutes massage too. I have an FSA account so I may just keep going. Thank you0 -
Be careful. I've used cervical traction with weights and a harness, 8 pounds for 10 minutes or so. Pleasant. Then some well meaning PT yanked my head attempting an adjustment, took months to recover from that!1

I had a microdiscectomy in February. So I don't know about decompression, but my surgery was the best thing I ever did. Had terrible bouts of sciatica off and on for 10 years. this time no chiropractor, ice, stretches, or meds would help. I was walking around the lake the next day. Not one bit of pain since. I didn't even have to take the pain meds after surgery. I know I have heard horror stories after surgery, but its been amazing for me.2

I need to do that, I have a crick in my spine and it does my head in (literally sometimes) I often say that I need a giant to just stretch me a bit.0 -

What is that? So no time off work?0 -
I'm recovering from a car accident anyway I'm trying nerve root blocks had 2 now and intensive physiotherapy, I'm walking short distances and able to stand for about 15 mins I'm trying to avoid surgery, so I found your thread useful. I'm a long time member it's not just weightloss. It's health and fitness, and I think your question quite valid, I wish you all the best. Spinal issues prevent many from hitting their fitness goals.0
