Bread

Just curious:
What is your favorite bread and why?

What really prompted this question is - we have two different kinds of bread in the house atm. I bought "good" Multigrain bread at Costco that has 5g of fiber, 6g protein, 1.5 g fat and 140 cals per slice. My 3 year old won't eat it, so we bought "Potato" bread (not for any particular reason other than it was on sale and we like their hot dog buns)... Dutch Country Potato bread is only 90 cals, 3g protein, 1g fat per slice but less than 1g fiber.

So, do you buy bread thinking of fiber, calories, taste, price or ??

Normally I buy whichever good wheat bread is on sale, and Safeway's artisan sourdough bread, which is the best sourdough I can find in SoCal. When I'm in NorCal, I head straight for the Alfaro's. Boudin is OK too.

I like a nice crusty french or italian bread from a good baker.

Well, my son owns a bakery so of course his bread is my very favorite. As for store bought, I love Dave's Killer Bread - any variety.
