exhausted after 2 csections!

Hi all! I never knew this community existed!
I have 2 children both via csection, after my first I gained weight like no tomorrow I dont know my highest weight as I never hit the scales, I got my butt into gear after 2 years and lost a few pnds I wieghed in at over 200pounds. After motivation alot of tired days and enthusiasm I reached 145pounds while working, studying and being a single mumma which was AMAZING! I wore bikinis and felt great! I then met the love of my life and fell pregnant shortly after and have not lost any baby weight. My baby is 6months old and im at 200pounds even. I have no motivation, im always tired, I work alot, im about to start studying again, and im one of those pople who use the excuse "I have no time". I want the old me back who says " no more excuses!" Calling for motivation! I have pictures of what I looked like and just dwell on them. The main thing thats getting me down is that im always tired especially getting woken up multiple times a night. I need to kick this excuse in the butt and quick!

Nothing says you need to do anything extra than what you're doing. Weight loss all boils down to a calorie deficit. Start logging your foods, and just eat less than you currently do. It doesn't have to be something that's over complicated or time consuming.
Start logging, let your body catch up with you schedule, then start working in exercise if you chose. However, taking the kiddos on a walk can be therapeutic and decently easy to do. Might be beneficial to help with the mental exhaustion.5 -
Youre just going to need to run a deficit for a while, one way or the other, there's no magic secret potion. Make movement a part of every day, some way. (We live where we can walk 1/2 mile into the middle of our town. Consequently my wife does so nearly every day with our twins. I do too, often. Then, not making a stop at Panera part of the trip (sadly) is the other component of it! The library is a good non-food destination, though. )2

Taking the kids out for a walk can give them some fresh air and help them sleep better at night also. You may also want to get your thyroid checked out. I was exhausted for over a year after my third (no c section) and found out later that it was my thyroid not working properly.1

I had my thyroid checked already and its normal. I do have PCOS and Endometriosis so im lucky I got pregnant with my second. I exclusively breastfed my 2nd for 4 months and gained weight rather than lost it.0

Honestly? I think you should read your posts and look for the part where you take responsibility...
Don't see it? Neither do I.
It's not the kids, pcos, endometriosis, breastfeeding. You are not not doomed to fat because of any of these things.
Take responsibility. You are eating more than you need. You are probably not eating sensibly. You don't have to do a lick of exercise. Just try and eat less than you already do.
This is coming from a 3 time c-section mama of a 1,2 and 3 year old who is still fat, pcos and fully aware of why I am.1 -
I think the poster above is being a little harsh, but there is good sense in taking some responsibility and figuring out what you can do with the time and energy you have. If you are breastfeeding your baby, you'll be waking up every few hours at night for a while longer til he/she learns to sleep through the night, and you can't cut your calories too much until you stop breastfeeding because you could negatively impact your milk production. If you're finished breastfeeding, you can start logging your food and see what your intake is, and see where you can start making adjustments. I second a previous poster who recommended walking with the little ones. It's low-impact and doesn't require equipemnt beyond a stroller or baby carrier, and it's a good start when you're just getting back into things. I also have PCOS, hypothyroid, and had a CS. It took a long time for me to regain my motivation but now that have some momentum, it's easier to keep it up.2

If you send me a friend request I'll be your weight loss buddy I had my 3rd csection last month and have quite a bit of weight to lose. I haven't recovered enough to start exercising but I'm dropping pounds right now by making smarter food choices. I'm going to start body weight moves soon and hopefully next month I'll be able to start lifting again. What did you do before to lose weight?0

I believe being honest is the best thing anyone can give. And that comment may have been a bit harsh but I took no offense I applaud those who are honest.
You could be right for myself to take responsibility, but in no way am I blaming pcos, endom, breastfeeding and no way am I blaming my children. I should have worded my post and reply different. I lost it before I can do it again, im just saying my motivation level is just at an alltime low! The moment I have a little break from everything all I want to do is relax so its difficult for myself at the moment to get the momentum to keep moving.
To lose weight last time, I had determination, I wanted to join the Army so I pushed myself to get to optimum fitness and health and I achieved it. I got through the application process and got the call to start the training/physical process and a week prior I found out I was pregnant, I kept it to myself until they called that week and had to tell them I couldnt further my career. They put my file on hold until I was back and ready to go, but I have been doubting going back.

Sorry to get off topic. I'm pregnant with my first. Everyone tells me I will lose weight quicker if I breast feed because I will burn more calories but I keep seeing post after post saying exactly the opposite. Is everyone different or does it typically take longer to lose weight if you breast feed? I'm planning to take 6 months off of work after having the baby and I want to make the most of them in terms of weight loss.2

I'm in the same boat as you, a year after my 1st c-section I felt great then I had my daughter 8 months ago and I cannot seem to get this extra weight off (to be honest I havent tried THAT hard) but with a toddler and baby and being constantly hungry from breastfeeding its hard!1

I can understand. The exhaustion is horrible sometimes. I have 11 month old twins and am up many times a night still. I haven't made working out a priority yet. Truthfully, you lose weight by keeping your calories in check. Exercise does make you look better and helps overall health, so I do want to eventually do it, I am just too tired right now! I have decided to just work on my diet for now. Exercise can wait until later!1

Could it be you're holding on to the weight to avoid the army? Not playing armchair psychologist here, but it seems possible.

Hey there. I'm a 2 c section mummy too who's still breastfeeding . I find it hard to find the time, energy and opportunity (my husband is an on call firefighter so I can't leave the children with him) to work out so I'm relying mainly on creating a calorie deficit. No i dont think so, it does seem possible but i think my eager to go before was so high and now with 2 kids, 1 being so young i dont know if i could leave him for extended periods of time just yet, so losing the weight and getting fit to go back isnt a priority to me at the moment. I wouldnt say its holding me back though. Does that make sense?0 -

Everyone is different. Some people have said they have lost weight breastfeeding others say they lost it when they stopped, my experience i seemed to gain it. Breastfeeding made me soooo unbelieveably hungry and to satisfy my craving i didnt eat the best of foods so that could possibly factor in aswell.0
