Family losing weight and I'm still struggling with sugar cravings

Hey all.
I'm 25 and looking to loose around 80kg.
My mother and step-father started eating keto about 2 years ago and have had amazing results but it's now totally taken over their lives and won't talk about anything unless it's to do with their diet. They even tred to shame me by talking out their *kitten* about what I eat because my wifband and I eat vegetarian. I have barely talked to them since.
A couple months back my brother and sister-in-law also started eating better more low carb then full keto. They were bad for energu drinks and fizzy. I'm so proud of them and really happy that they are getting healthier sInce they have kids.
Now its me. My wifband and I are good when it comes to our main meals of the day. We have cut carbs a lot, have figured out what meals work for us and what dont. We don't eat soy and have upped our protein and vegetable intake. It's the cravings that get us badly. I'm an emotional eater. I can have a tough day at work (I'm a support worker for high needs clients) and crave pizza or chips or chocolate or my wifband can come home and crave something and because we want each other to be happy we give in to the others cravings. It so doesn't help us when trying to loose weight.
I'm a part of a harry potter challenge group on MFP and it's awesome at getting me going because I want to hit all the challenges and get top marks but I still feel like my cravings are holding me back and it sucks. We want to loose weight in our own way, not have it take over our lives and keep it off Facebook (which is really hard for my parents lmao)
How do you get over sugar cravings?
How do you motivate yourself when you have a loving partner who wants to give you everything you want?
THanks all.

If you really enjoy these kinds of foods - why not start on a diet plan that incorporates them, and just plan to have them sometimes?

Keto is one possible way of eating, and some people may prefer it, but it's no better or worse for weight loss overall - some people do well with it, others don't.

I'm down almost 130 lb and I eat pizza, and ice cream, and burgers, and chips. I always plan how much I'll have and don't exceed that amount.

The real thing is - find a technique that works for you. Keto may not be your thing. It certainly wasn't mine, either. Doesn't mean you can't lose weight, you just need to take a different approach.
