How many minutes of exercise count?

I am curious. I use a Fitbit charge. Tonight I hadn't hit my step goal so I popped in an exercise video and followed it until I hit my goal, which was about 7 minutes. When I compared my active minutes from before I started, it didn't go up. When I read up on this on fit bits site it say it only counts active minutes that are ten minutes or more. Is exercising less than ten minutes not counted as healthful. I hope this makes sense, but I would appreciate feedback

With Fitbit, it will only recognize a certain activity after 10 minutes automatically. I know on the charge hr, I can press the button and record the activity from start to finish even if it lasts less than 10 minutes and it will count towards the active minutes goal.. It's just a Fitbit thing.

Yes fitbit counts activity min only when steps are at a certain pace for 10 min.

Regardless of whether FitBit counts it or not, your body will. FitBit is just another tool. I like mine, but I don't let it dictate my sense of success.
