Fitbit beginners help!

Hi there, I do apologise if there has already been a similar subject posted before, I'm new to using the community forums & also to getting a Fitbit so still getting used to it all!
My hysvs fa just bought me a Fitbit charge HR, as I really wanted a way to track my activity through the day, I have quite an active job so have always been intrigued what I burn outside of any usual workouts I do after work, but what I'm stuck with at the moment is figuring out of the calories it says I'm burning, how many of them are just generally those my body burns just to stay alive and what are the extra through daily activities, if anyone could help me out with this and has any other tips I'd be so grateful. TIA
