How do I record my steps on MFP?

Just got my new step tracker a few days ago and it works great, but it doesn't allow you to sync with a phone or computer. MFP allows you to "create" an exercise, but it requires tracking minutes and calories burned. My step tracker only shows all calories burned, even when sedentary, so that won't work. And it doesn't do minutes. Any suggestions on how to "create" an exercise to record my steps?

You can't manually log steps. Log any meaningful exercise (walking/running) and make sure your activity level is set appropriately for the amount of steps you take outside of that.

Google women average stride mile steps. Then you will know how many steps to a mile, and with a little math, you can put in a distance.

I have a polar loop and it has the steps listed on the app but they don't sync. Ugh nor does my calories count
