Net Calories.

Alright so I'm a little confused. To start, I'm 5'10" and around 190 pounds and female. MFP is telling me to eat 1,200 calories a day (which seems kinda low to me) in order for me to lose two pounds a week. I exercise by doing cardio for atleast 50 minutes a day, 6 days a week. Am I supposed to be eating back my exercise calories? For the past two weeks I've been netting around 700 calories because I'll eat 1,200 calories and then burn 600 calories when I go to the gym. I'm just afraid that I'm not eating enough and that I'm going to lose muscle.

Thanks in advance!

Youre not eating enough. Change your loss goal to one or one and a half pounds a week, that gives you more calories. Plus..YES you need to be eating back your burned calories, especially if you're sticking with such a low calorie goal. Your are trying to fuel your body and brain on only 600 calories a day. Bad Bad Bad. And will eventually make your loss stall too. Eat more, eat better!

I agree .. I'm shorter than you at 180 currently. My allotment is 1350 IIR ..
I eat some exercise cals at times but there are other calculators. Try
searching Scooby and FrogTde calorie calculators. I might have links
but those can give good numbers as well. But try to add some cals because
with your stats, the 1200 amt seems low.
