Need advice for excercising with hurt knee

Ok so I was in week 4th of my 5x5 stronglift program, when I got my left kneee injured, it hurts little while bending it like climbing stairs but not otherwise. The knee got hurt because of something else not because of gym

It's been 3 weeks now and I am going to check my doc, but meanwhile a question to the fitness freaks here ...is there a modified version of 5x5 that I can follow that excludes any excercises related to legs ?

Or else I need to go back to my regular two muscles group per day excercisrs until my knee is ok.

    Get the knee checked first. If it hurts to bend it, then you may not be able to squat or deadlift. You can train upper body seated for modification.
