Hey everyone. I'm a single mom that just hasn't had the time to get back in the best shape I can (my daughter is almost 4 so no more excuses). I can do the exercise part but I really struggle with food. I'm a stress eater and being a single mom there is plenty of that. I'd really like to lose 20-30 pounds but it's been hard because my main motivator is pregnant and is enjoying the food! I just want to feel good. I guess the numbers don't matter as long as I look good. I've spent the last week being super healthy and working out and I gained weight!!!!

I feel your struggle! Don't have the answer but know you're not alone! I am a single mom of a 7, 6, and 3 year old. It's hard when there is always kid-friendly food in the house, and yes I stress eat as well! It's not like you can pass of your kids to someone to go to the gym, you have to constantly deal with the stress all day! I would encourage you to focus on strength training. That way, even if the scale numbers creep up, at least you know you are getting stronger. Sometimes that progress is what keeps me motivated to not give up even though I might be struggling with food (as I am lately). Don't give up! This will get easier.
