So far w diet I've lost 30 lbs. But this past week I didn't lose as I got hungrier than usual lol so I maintained. But I hope this week I lose the 2lbs. Dr wants me to drop 1 to 2 lbs a week. Sometimes it melts off. And a few times I maintain and then I lose. Such a hard task when I know I have 70 to go and I didn't lose not 1 lb this last week ugh. Weekly weigh in on Thursdays or Fridays. I've been walking everyday. And watch how I'm eating so let's see!

Don't worry too much if you stall for a week or two as long as you're tracking accurately. Weight loss isn't linear, so some weeks it will go up, down, or stay the same. It's nothing to be alarmed about. But 30lbs is awesome!

A lot of us use trending apps instead, such as Trendweight, to get a more realistic look at our losses as we start experiencing those stalls. It's nice to settle the mind that a gain isn't always a true gain. Same with those maintaining weeks.

Why not carve it into smaller chunks? Large numbers can be intimidating, but smaller goals get you more victories as you achieve them for example..."August goal- 7 lbs" - so when you achieve or even exceed that goal, you feel more positive about your progress & rolling over to new goal.

As of this morning (Wednesday), I was up a pound and a half from yesterday. Obviously it's fluid retention based on what I ate. But when I looked back to last Wednesday's weight, it was the same as today. If Wednesdays were my weekly weigh in day, it would look like I had lost nothing. But if I looked back a week from yesterday (Tuesday) it would look like I had lost nearly two pounds in one week.

As you can see, weight goes up and down every day and your weigh in this time might have been on one of those up days. This is not to suggest that you switch to daily weighing, because both ways have their pros and cons.

I would suggest you just shrug it off and keep on with your mission. I agree with the advice from another poster above about using a weight chart app that can show you your longer term trend.
