Hi all, I'm Amy...I'm 34, looking to lose about 70-75 more pounds (I've already lost 17!). With 5 kids and a desk job, as well as a pretty crappy diet since my divorce, I've gained a ton of weight. I tried MFP last year for a few weeks lost about 10 pounds, but then fell off. I'm determined to stick to it this time, but thought I might see if there was anyone who might help keep me accountable and offer encouragement when I feel like quitting (again). I don't want to give up, I'm sick of carrying around this weight. I just know how I am, and my self-accountability only lasts so long. Anyway, if you want someone to offer you some accountability and encouragement, and you are willing to do the same (not a lot! just a boost now and then), let's be MFP friends! I also use the MapMyWalk app, if anyone is on there...we can be friends there too!

    Hi Amy,
I am new here too. Also divorced and need to lose 90 pounds. I am very determined because I'd like to date again in this life (over 50) and I refuse to date while overweight. You have 5 great reasons to get healthy. I'll try to motivate you as I motivate myself.
    Beth
