    times have changed - nixon lost the first televised presidential campaign debate with kennedy in 1960 reportedly due to his appearance, including a 5 o'clock shadow, compared to the more handsome - and clean shaven - jfk... (those who simply listened to the debate on radio felt nixon had won).

    Love love love me some stubble! And I love a good beard. Nothing is sexier to me than a man with facial hair. Clean shaven men do nothing for me.

    They sure have. Also, our ideas of what a "manly" man has completely shifted. Back then men were expected to be clean cut and sharply dressed, now it's considered "metrosexual" to be over groomed. Personally, I love a man in work boots and a dirty white T-shirt.     I am a huge fan of stubble, but also love a goatee.
