Calories in dry/cooked pasta

I tend to eat wholewheat pasta and the recommended portion is 75g uncooked. On MFP the cals are 270-300 ish. Is that right? Or should I weigh the cooked weight for pasta to get a more accurate reading? Often the cooked/uncooked calorie information is confusing!

Weigh it dry. The cooked weight can vary depending on how long it cooked and how much water it absorbed.
The package should tell you what the calories for dry weight is. Go with that and use a MFP entry that agrees with the label.0 -
Cosign on weighing it dry. Whole wheat may be a liiiittle different but pasta, regardless of the shape, generally comes in at around 100 cals per 1 oz/28 grams. So yeah, that math sounds about right.0
