Eating how many calories? Do you exercise? Do you know how many calories you burn, on average?

maybe, maybe not...these calculators are only meant to give you a reasonably good starting point...watch the trend over the coming weeks and adjust as necessary.

1780. I have no idea the calories I burn. I don't log walking only exercise like zumba. Oh and also I think I'm actually sedentary but I set it to lightly active so i wouldnt have to log walking.

I'm 50 years old, 5'4" and lost on 1650 calories per day while very close to my goal. But I also run at least 20 miles per week, lift heavy 2-3 times per week, and walk quite a bit. You have to remember that the calculators all give estimates. Start out with the number the calculator gives, then adjust up or down after a few weeks depending on how you do.

I'm thinking I should change it back to sedentary and only log things like zumba as I'm doing now. Today is a write off and I will start again tomorrow. thanks everyone

According to http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ you are projected to lose 0.6 pounds per week at that calorie amount. As @cwolfman13 said, though, these are estimates and should be adjusted as needed. Try it for a few weeks and see what your average is. Adjust up or down if needed.

Set it to sedentary. Then follow the calories it gives you and don't eat back most exercise calories, unless it is alot like 500 cal or more in a day (they are usually off so most people found eating back 50 - 75% to work). Try it for a couple weeks and adjust as needed.
