From elementary school through high school like clock work my eczema would flair up at the beginning of each school year and go away when summer started. My hands would split and crack and bleed. It was incredibly painful. I couldn't tie my own shoes. Since then I've suffered from the occasional flair up. Each time I've had a flair up I've gone to a doctor and been prescribed heavy steroid creams. That was the only thing that seemed to help.
A couple months ago I was laying in bed at 2 am trying to fall asleep when I finally pulled out my phone and googled, "Why can't I sleep?" After some random clicking I ended up on a page about magnesium deficiency, and I started going through the symptoms. (No, I don't remember the website)
Muscle spasms and cramps ✔ (magnesium helps your muscles relax- that make sense)
Sleep problems ✔ ✔ ✔ (see above)
Anxiety and depression ✔
High blood pressure... no, doctor says that's fine
Hormone Problems... maybe...
Low Energy ✔
Bone health... I hope not
Eczema ?! ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔
TLDR? Stress can cause magnesium deficiency and magnesium deficiency can cause eczema. So now I take magnesium every night before going to bed, and if my eczema flairs up I increase my magnesium intake until it goes away again (usually in just a couple of days).
I don't know if this will help anyone, but I'm throwing it out there in case it does. Because I saw multiple doctors and none of them figured this out.
Edited because I didn't proof read![:# :#](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/grimace.png)

Good tip. I hope it helps you.
I think 350 mg of magnesium is all we should have per day -- more can be toxic.

Magnesium is beneficial for my own situation as well, but I second the comment about 'more can be toxic'. More can cause problems you don't want!! Once, way back when, I figured that if one tablet was good, more must be better. It wasn't.0
