So talented that I can bulk even while cutting

I have noticed a few threads from people who are struggling to gain weight. I have developed these personal skills / philosophies over the past two years that have come so naturally to me, and I have found they work exceptionally well even when I'm trying to lose weight.

Tip 1:
Go food shopping when hungry. This will ensure optimal food choices are made.

Tip 2:
Have a cheat day without logging (out of shame) every 3rd day or so. Justify your binge eating by assuming that it will help with recovery.

Tip 3:
Keep ample supply of breakfast cereal and combine with a giant bowl during evening time feasting (best not to log this either). Bonus tip: Relieve any guilt by planning a cardio session the following day, that actually never happens.

Tip 4:
Drink full cream milk combined with milo / nestle quick in a half litre Pyrex measuring cup – forget those regular sized cups!

Tip 5:
Never reject any free food offerings at work or social gatherings. Free food is the best food! Screw logging that too, most of it will become muscle anyway!

Hmmm, and here I thought the thread was going to end up at least semi-serious. Bulk while cutting is AKA recomp, right? Doesn't seem like it should be that overly difficult, at least not for a beginner who's only looking to get fit. If someone has been body building for a while and is looking to get into competition form, I can see where it would be much more difficult, maybe not possible. But for the average shlub who is just getting to a healthy body fat percentage for the first time, eat at a reasonable calorie deficit, but make sure your other nutrition is complete and go heavy on the protein, then lift heavy weights on a consistent basis with proper recovery time, etc. If you are taxing your muscles consistently and the material to build new muscle is present, you will get stronger even if your body has to burn some fat for the energy. Obviously you won't -gain- weight because that would break the laws of thermodynamics, but a slow drop in pounds while fat vanishes and muscle increases sounds pretty doable.

Ha! If I go shopping when I am full I come home with almost no food and have to go shopping again!

Going shopping when hungry makes me go pick my favorite snack isle in the store and open it up and eat most of it before I get to the check out counter.. Not good for the calories that day!

I will always come home with something not on the list! Sill not NOT logging the weekends cheateries!

Free food in the breakroom is always donuts, bagels, cupcakes and things that leave me feeling empty 30 minutes later.. Got to pass on free food!

Odd as it is, I actually do find shopping while hungry to be very beneficial. However, I am also so far down the path of my way of eating, that it just results in me buying 6 lbs. of ground beef, and three cartons of eggs, instead of the one of each I would grab otherwise. Though last night, it did result in me picking up a couple of jars of Kimchi on a whim, which I had never eaten before. Holy crap that stuff is amazing with eggs.

And people think eggs with spinach is a smelly fart recipe. :o

Oh dude, you have no idea. I've been keto for months, so my guts are rank anyway. Then on top of all of the fat, the only vegetables I regularly eat are in the form of spinach, kimchi, and sauerkraut. :D

Kimchi is good with eggs? Good to know.

It's excellent. I've always loved hot sauce on eggs anyway, and the kimchi spiciness is just fantastic. Plus, the textures just mesh perfectly.

Would be a good one for my high volume eating

Wow :D my wife would boot me out of the house!
I considered at one time doing a week of only eggs and spinach as a kinda sorta 'cleanse' thing. Basically shock the body with a period of complete, yet minimalist nutrition. She said, "you do that some week when I'm at summer camp or something, so I don't have to be here to smell your farts."
    Such love and understanding :)
