Heart rate monitor recommendations??

I am looking to buy a HRM and there are so many options! Can anyone recommend any in particular ?

I'm sorry, I missed this. The polar Ft 7 or 60 are great options. Just make sure it tracks calories lol. I made that mistake purchasing my first monitor.

i have the polar ft7 and love it.

make sure what you get has a chest strap monitor.

If you go with Polar, pay attention to which model. Some you can change the battery on yourself and others have to go to a service center. I've had mine a year an a half and just had to change the watch battery. If that had involved mailing it far away it would have been a much bigger inconvenience. I really like Polar.

Just in case you weren't aware of this feature, when you go to the message boards section, there is a button called search and you can type in a keyword (ex: HRM or heart rate monitor) and you can see the threads that have already been created on the topic. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

I currently have a Garmin, which links with my gym's cardio point computer program that tells me what and how much fat, cals, etc. I'm burning during exercise. With the Polar, some gyms it'll link with their treadmills.

I have a garmin that works with Garmin watches (obviously) but also works with Wahoo fitness with the iPhone dongle. Seems to work fine.

I have the Polar FT60 and it's great. You can also replace the battery by yourself wich save you 25$ and time. It has the star training more , it gives you a goal of how long you should workout and how many calories to burn.

I use a Garmin FR60 (it's discountinued), and I love it. It came with a foot pod for tracking my runs and I love how strong it is. I bang my wrist against everything and it took a really good licking over the last 2-3 years. I've only had to change the battery once.
