It seems to me that you are looking for rules? There are no rules to weight management, except CICO. Time between meals depends on number and size of meals and time between last meal and first meal of the next day. I like to have four meals spread out pretty evenly, but evening meal tends to have to wait a bit because I'm still full from dinner. So I haven't figured out the optimal setup for me yet.0

I eat 6 - 8 times per day. The time between each meal varies anywhere from two to four hours. It's just what I prefer though. No reason to adjust your meal schedule.0

I have no preference....I eat when I'm hungry.0

Like others, I don't have "meal times". I eat when I am hungry, every day looks different for me.0

I usually space mine out every six hours, but the time between meals varies from person to person. Just find something that fits and minimizes hunger.0

Meal timing, size or wait between meals makes no difference to wait loss. If it makes you happy to eat one big meal from 5-7 pm every day, do that. If you're happier eating every 2 hours while you're awake, do that. As long as you eat fewer calories than you burn every day, on average, you'll lose weight.1

Well for me, on a work day, breakfast is 8.45ish.... lunch is 12.15ish.... afternoon snack is anywhere between 2 and 3 pm.... if I'm working out then pre workout snack at 5ish... then tea at 6.30-7... and maybe supper if I'm hungry and have the cals...0 -
Typically during the week it's breakfast at 8:15 or so, lunch around 3, and dinner around 7/8. On weekends I usually eat my first meal around 3/4.0

I eat when I'm hungry and it is usually only two meals a day. 96 pounds later it appears to be working just fine.0

I don't have a set time, especially because my work schedule changes daily so my lunch break (usually breakfast lately) comes at different times. Like today I had breakfast at 10:45 (my lunch break), lunch at 3:15 (when I got home from work), and dinner will be in about twenty minutes. I don't work tomorrow, so breakfast will be around 9 and lunch between 1 and 2.0

When I'm hungry. So that can be 6 small meals or 3 big ones, or whatever really, lol.1

LOL! Sure but only if you're staying under your calorie goal for the day. You could probably snack on carrot and celery sticks non-stop all day and do that but you'd probably be ready for the looney bin by day 3.
If it helps you to set up a schedule to eat every two hours, do that. It might be helpful to pre-log what you're going to eat throughout the day and then stick to those things so you don't go over. On work days I bring lots of pre-weighed portions of veggies, fruit, meat or leftovers from the last night. Sometimes some Laughing Cow or string cheese with crackers or pita chips. It's all logged in MFP as I'm packing it into my lunch bag. Then I can snack on it during the work day as I see fit; I don't usually eat it at one time. No trips to the vending machine and no impulse eating so it works for me. I also pre-log my evening snack, too. That makes sure I have the calories for it and lets me look forward to it during the day.0 -
My family never snacked, and neither did I. Environments (maybe) 'n' all. Nature Vs Nurture...age old debate. So, I have those extra calories I can put towards meals. But, I believe it all balances out, even if you're a snacker. Whatever is most comfortable for you, while creating that deficit/surplus, go with it. No way is really right or wrong.0

For me, it's 3 600-900 cal meals a day w/about 4-6 hrs in between Often don't eat the 1st meal til 10-11am and last meal til around 8-9pm.
Tried the 6 meals a day thing but I can't do that. Seems like all I do is worry about when to eat on such a schedule and usually end up forgetting 2-3 meals anyway.0
