    irrelevant for weight loss.

Splits are generally used in instances where increased volume is desired...i.e. bulking up/body building/power lifting, etc.

A full body program is optimal for a beginner lifter as excessive volume for the level of experience can hinder recovery. A full body program is also a good way to go as a matter of working a program for general fitness.

Weight loss is all about energy balance, not your weight room programming.

calorie deficit for weight loss...We can argue all day about which is best or most efficient but either split can work do what works for your schedule / preferred method of lifting and make sure the weight you are lifting is going up (or at least maintaining during a deficit).

As pointed out above, the type of training you do will not really impact the rate of weight loss all that much. As far as which is better for maintenance of muscle, strength gain, efficiency, etc, a full body 3x a week will almost always out perform a bro-split. Natural weight lifters ideally want to hit every body part 2-3 times a week and a full body does that while a bro-split doesn't. If you have goals other than straight weight loss then a bro-split is probably inferior in almost all ways. If you only care about weight loss then either or neither is acceptable.
